Attach almost
anything to standing seam metal roofs without piercing the panel!
On painted
metal roofs, if you use an an adhesive to secure a snow guard, it
can take 30 days of 50 degree temperature for a full set of the
adhesive and tapes have been seen to fail. Also, the installer
has to make sure the surface is well prepared, otherwise the bond
can fail.
The best snow retention system is still
secured with mechanical fasteners. Having studied the S-5 ColorGard
rail system for
the last 9 years, Earl prefers this clamping system which does not
violate panel manufacturer's warranties when installed properly.

The S-5! clamp, the ColorGard bar, the VersaClip which holds the bar to
the clamp & the SnoClip which keeps snow & ice from sliding
under the bar.
